Overview
Join a dynamic Interventional Radiology team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina! We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist / IR Tech for a 13-week travel contract at a leading hospital. This travel radiology job offers hands-on IR experience with cutting-edge Siemens and Philips imaging systems while serving a diverse adult and geriatric patient population in the Piedmont Triad.
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2110–$2260 per week (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Details
- Location: Winston-Salem, NC (27103) — North Carolina travel radiology job in a community hospital with a strong arts scene and outdoor recreation.
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (start time staggered between 07:00 and 08:30; end time 17:30), Monday–Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Weekends and evenings/nights on a rotation (primary and backup call)
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, including neuro and stroke intervention procedures
- At least 1 year of scrub experience in IR (neuro required)
- Travel assignment experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Experience operating Siemens and Philips x-ray/fluoroscopy equipment
- Proficiency with PACS, contrast administration, and image management
- Current ARRT (R) certification required and BLS from AHA
- NC license or Compact state license in hand by start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to attend full hospital orientation during the first week
- References from two managers/supervisors within the past 12 months (required by start date)
- Preferred: ARRT Advanced Certification, EPIC or McKesson charting experience, prior work in outpatient, OR, ED, Level I trauma, and teaching/community hospital settings
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of Interventional Radiology procedures (stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, and neuro studies)
- Scrub and assist in neuro and body IR procedures, including stroke interventions and endovascular cases
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens and Philips imaging equipment during procedures
- Administer contrast safely and accurately; manage images using PACS
- Participate in on-call rotation for evenings, nights, and weekends as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care for adults, geriatrics, and select adolescent patients
- Maintain sterile technique, adhere to radiation safety protocols, and follow hospital infection-control policies
- Complete all required hospital orientation and ongoing training modules
