• Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse / Pediatric RN
• Location: Pittsfield, MA (01201) — Massachusetts pediatric nursing job
• Unit: Pediatrics (small unit, 3 beds, patient ratio 1:3)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 36 hours/week guaranteed
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• On-site: Yes
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2250-$2370

Job Requirements (Pediatric RN Qualifications)

• Minimum 3 years of current pediatric nursing experience (Pediatric RN experience required)
• Experience in adult medical-surgical (Med/Surg) units preferred for floating
• Meditech Expanse (EMR) experience strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Current skills checklist for Pediatric and Medical Surgical (within 1 year, required)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• Dependable and reliable attendance required (call-outs not allowed)
• Not accepting local travelers (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
• Submission must include the agency Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) as required by the state of MA for temporary nursing assignments.

Responsibilities (Pediatric RN / Travel Nurse Duties)

• Provide high-quality, family-centered and patient-centered pediatric nursing care to children and adolescents (max 3 patients)
• Float to Med/Surg or Post-Partum units as needed (cross-coverage for travel nurses)
• Collaborate with Family Birthplace staff, respiratory therapists, and IV therapists to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (Meditech Expanse preferred) and uphold hospital standards
• Ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients and families, including rooming-in options and access to games, videos, and playroom resources
• Respond promptly to emergencies using provided security badge and panic button
• Promote patient comfort, family involvement, and continuity of care throughout the hospital stay
