- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour nights (18:50 – 07:20)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Community Hospital – 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1830-$1930
Required Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience (L&D RN / Labor & Delivery Nurse)
- Active RN license (Maryland RN or Compact RN license accepted)
- BLS, NRP, C-EFM (NCC), and STABLE certifications required at submission
- Scrub experience required (C-section assist/scrub)
- Ability to float to Mother/Baby and scrub roles as needed
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred (electronic medical record / EMR)
- First-time travel nurses welcome—experience in fast-paced L&D, postpartum, and high-risk deliveries preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM/C-EFM)
- Scrub for C-sections and assist as surgical backup when needed
- Float to Mother/Baby unit and perform bedside postpartum/newborn care as required
- Participate in call rotation (2 shifts per 6-week schedule) and work every other weekend
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products per protocols
- Provide breastfeeding support, lactation education, and family-centered teaching
- Respond to high-risk deliveries and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB providers, anesthesia, NICU/IV, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
- Document care accurately and timely in Cerner (EMR charting) and maintain accurate patient records
