• Location: Washington, IA 52353 — Travel nursing job in Iowa
• Setting: Adult Med-Surg Unit (medical-surgical RN role)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nurse assignment)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• End Date: July 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights — 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week

Job Requirements

• Active and unencumbered RN license (state licensure as required for travel assignments)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg (medical-surgical) nursing experience — adult med-surg preferred
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment and provide high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients on the Med/Surg unit as a Med/Surg RN
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress, including timely EHR documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and post-discharge planning
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards
