- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:42 PM – 7:12 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980–$2080/week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan (LARA and/or Nursys must show active status)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical ICU (SICU) or critical care RN experience
- Current work history and skills checklist (within 1 year) relevant to ICU nursing
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
- Epic EMR experience preferred (electronic medical record experience beneficial)
- Prior travel assignment history preferred (travel nurse experience)
- Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of Midland, MI (travel nursing eligibility requirement)
Responsibilities
- Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs as part of critical care nursing
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to individualized surgical care plans
- Evaluate patient progress, adjust plans of care, and document changes in the medical record
- Consult and collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care
- Perform integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions using the nursing process
