• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980–$2080/week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan (LARA and/or Nursys must show active status)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical ICU (SICU) or critical care RN experience
• Current work history and skills checklist (within 1 year) relevant to ICU nursing
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Epic EMR experience preferred (electronic medical record experience beneficial)
• Prior travel assignment history preferred (travel nurse experience)
• Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of Midland, MI (travel nursing eligibility requirement)

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs as part of critical care nursing
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to individualized surgical care plans
• Evaluate patient progress, adjust plans of care, and document changes in the medical record
• Consult and collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care
• Perform integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions using the nursing process
