Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- At least 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
- BLS (AHA)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and acute care nursing skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to PCU patients as a Progressive Care Registered Nurse / Travel RN
- Monitor and assess patient conditions; recognize and respond to clinical changes promptly
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
