Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• At least 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting
• BLS (AHA)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and acute care nursing skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to PCU patients as a Progressive Care Registered Nurse / Travel RN
• Monitor and assess patient conditions; recognize and respond to clinical changes promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
