- Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73112 (Oklahoma City nursing jobs / OKC healthcare)
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – LTAC RN role
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week) – Night Shift RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1890 - $1990 per week
Job Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oklahoma RN or compact RN licensure preferred for travel RNs)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
- Experience in LTAC, acute care, or similar complex care settings preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Prior travel nursing or contract experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized LTAC care plans
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to rehabilitation and discharge planning
- Initiate patient and family education from admission to support recovery and continuity of care
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols
- Maintain open communication with the care team regarding patient status and evolving care needs
- Contribute to a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork, professionalism, and ongoing professional development
