• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130-$2250 per week
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day, evening, night rotation required; one night of call and every other weekend)
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR (Epic)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care (maternal-child health)
• Current Massachusetts RN license (active and in good standing)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification — current within 2 years
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
• Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and OR circulating for C-sections
• Ability to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts as required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns across a 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit (includes L&D rooms, postpartum rooms, OR, recovery, and antepartum)
• Assess and monitor patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period using best practices and EFM
• Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections and assist with perioperative maternal care
• Administer and titrate medications (including magnesium sulfate and epidurals) and monitor maternal/newborn responses
• Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding, newborn care education, and parent teaching
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, pediatric/neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in rotating shifts, on-call coverage, and weekend schedules as required by the travel assignment
