Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Burlington, MA (zip 01805). 8-week travel nursing assignment for experienced Critical Care RNs in the Boston-area. Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment / Travel RN, Critical Care RN
- Location: Burlington, MA 01805 (Boston-area; ideal for Massachusetts nursing jobs and Burlington MA nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (8-week)
- Unit: Nursing Float Pool (ICU & PCU)
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: May 30, 2026
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (4-week blocks: 7a-7p, then 7p-7a; every other weekend required)
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (excluding on-call)
Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Current Massachusetts RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2–5 years of recent ICU / critical care RN experience required
- Trauma Level I facility experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience considered
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Must pass Telemetry test on first day (pass/fail)
- Must not be a current or recent (within 6 months) employee of BILH (perm, per diem, or travel)
- Facility is not accepting local candidates
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients and float to PCU as needed
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses using EPIC EMR and continuous telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care interventions per established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and respond quickly to telemetry changes and emergencies
- Support high-acuity procedures and emergency responses typical of Trauma Level I/II environments
- Provide patient and family education, discharge teaching, and follow-up instructions
- Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, infection control, and documentation requirements
