Estimated Weekly Pay: $1820–$1910
On Call: 2 overnight shifts per week
Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend

Qualifications & Job Requirements

Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate nursing license (Registered Nurse)
Minimum 1 year of recent Dialysis RN or hemodialysis experience (within the last 12 months)
Completion of at least one travel assignment within the past 15 months
Experience operating Fresenius dialysis equipment
Proficiency with blood transfusions, heparin administration, and vascular access monitoring
Experience using EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
Valid Driver’s License
Completed dialysis skills checklist
Professional clinical reference from a supervisor/manager within the last 24 months (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities

Provide high-quality dialysis and renal nursing care to acute care patients receiving hemodialysis
Monitor and manage patient responses and vital signs during dialysis treatments
Administer medications, including heparin, and perform blood transfusions as indicated
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Fresenius dialysis machines and related equipment
Document clinical assessments, treatments, and outcomes in EPIC EMR accurately and timely
Participate in on-call rotation (2 overnight shifts per week) and every 3rd weekend scheduling concern
Collaborate with nephrology, interdisciplinary care teams, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and dialysis unit protocols
