Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Travel RN assignment in Tucson, AZ (85741). 13-week night shift role at a Level III Trauma Center; Cerner EMR experience and 2+ years of ED/ER nursing required. Job Details

  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)
  • Position Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) – Night Shift ER RN
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 per week
  • Setting: Emergency Department (38 beds, Level III Trauma Center; certified Stroke & STEMI receiving)
  • EMR: Cerner (experience required)
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs
  • Number of Openings: 1

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Arizona or compact state – valid Travel RN licensure accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) RN experience
  • Proven experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) required
  • Willingness to float to other areas of the hospital as needed
  • Charge nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available)
  • Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance

Responsibilities – Emergency Nursing / ER RN Duties

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process and best practices in emergency nursing
  • Perform triage, rapid assessment, and priority-setting for acute and critical patients
  • Participate in trauma, stroke, and STEMI responses as part of a certified receiving facility
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership when planning and delivering safe patient care
  • Delegate and supervise patient care tasks based on staff skill level and education
  • Maintain and enhance clinical competencies through continuing education and on-the-job learning
