Job Details
- Location: Boston, MA (02114) — Boston healthcare / Massachusetts nursing job
- Unit: Blake 12 ICU – 18-bed adult intensive care unit
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 31, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 50/50 split between days and nights; every other weekend and holiday required
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse assignment (Travel Registered Nurse / ICU RN travel job)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week
Job Requirements (ICU RN / Travel Nurse)
- Current RN license with ICU specialty (valid for practice in required state)
- At least 2 years of recent acute care inpatient or current ICU experience (critical care RN experience preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Ability to work both day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Completion of required onboarding health and professional documentation (MMR, TB test, health statement, background checks, references, skills checklist, education verification, etc.)
- Preferred: BLS and ACLS certifications; CCRN or other critical care certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced ICU setting
- Provide advanced critical care nursing interventions, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, and titration per protocol
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex medical, surgical, transplant, and trauma cases
- Assess and monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure safe, family-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
