- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (March 18, 2026 – June 24, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1840-$1940/week
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes, unless approved RTO
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Charting System: MEDITECH (electronic health record experience preferred)
- Self-scheduling: Available (with flexibility for staffing needs)
Summary / Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a Telemetry RN / Registered Nurse with strong cardiac monitoring and acute care skills—ideal for travel nurses with prior contract experience and MEDITECH charting knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in med/tele, telemetry, or similar acuity (acute care RN experience preferred)
- Successful completion of at least 1 previous travel contract (travel nursing jobs experience)
- Active RN license (Georgia or multi-state Compact RN license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Proficiency interpreting cardiac rhythms (telemetry monitoring)
- Experience titrating drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone)
- Compliance with 100-mile radius rule for travelers (permanent address must be 101+ miles from facility)
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiac patients in a 23-bed Med/Tele unit
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to arrhythmias
- Titrate limited drips per protocol and administer safe medication management
- Collaborate with charge nurse, house supervisor, monitor techs, and interdisciplinary team
- Utilize respiratory therapy equipment (nasal cannulas, BiPAP, High Flow NC) and escalate care as needed
- Accurately document assessments and interventions using MEDITECH (EHR charting)
- Participate in block scheduling and self-scheduling to support unit staffing needs
- Float to Neurosurgical PCU on rare occasions (same ratios); demonstrated neuro/PCU adaptability a plus
- Adhere to unit dress code, orientation, and hospital policies
