13-week Travel Nurse L&D RN opportunity in Crown Point, Indiana (46307) — seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses with AWHONN, NRP, ACLS and EPIC experience.

Job Details

• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN / OB RN)
• Location: Crown Point, IN 46307 (Northwest Indiana — Indiana nursing jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks: March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), includes assigned weekends and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Unit: OB Labor & Delivery (11 labor beds, 16 postpartum beds, 2 ORs, 2 recovery bays)
• Patient Ratios: Labor 1:1–1:3; Postpartum 1:6–1:8

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active RN license (state required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP and AWHONN EFM certifications
• Proficient with fetal monitoring, FSE, IUPC and epidural care
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Ability to float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
• Team-oriented, able to manage emergencies and fast-paced OB clinical settings

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to laboring mothers, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecologic surgery patients
• Monitor and manage labor using external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM), FSE, IUPC and epidural management
• Operate fetal monitoring equipment and infant warmers; support neonatal transition as needed
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, pediatrics and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and comply with unit policies and regulatory standards
• Float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units and assist colleagues in high-acuity situations
