Job Details
- Location: Greenville, SC (29605) — Upstate South Carolina cardiac perfusion job
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $4,760–$5,110 per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Shift: 5x8-hour days (08:00 – 16:30); shift times may vary based on department needs
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Perfusionist)
- Scrubs: Provided by unit
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a perfusionist, with strong cardiac perfusion experience
- American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- At least 1 year of experience using EPIC EMR for clinical documentation
- Experience in CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, Pediatric General OR, and Level I Trauma settings
- Spectrum Pump experience required (facility recently transitioned)
- Familiarity with Terumo System 1, Quest MPS 2/3 cardioplegia systems, ISTAT, Centrimag, Impella 5.5, CardioHelp, Angiovac, Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit, CardioQuip HC
- Ability to independently assist with ECMO cannulation and ECMO transport for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Previous travel perfusion experience required; no first-time travelers at this time
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perfusion support for a wide variety of cardiac and surgical procedures in the OR as a Travel Perfusionist / Cardiac Perfusionist
- Independently assist with ECMO cannulation and manage ECMO transport for patients across the lifespan (adult, pediatric, neonatal)
- Operate and maintain specialized perfusion equipment, including Spectrum Pump, Terumo System 1, and other advanced devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during high-acuity and emergent cardiac cases in a Level I Trauma Center
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR and facility protocols
- Float to other units as needed based on census and departmental needs
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
