Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1890/week
- Location: Savannah, GA 31404 — Savannah travel nursing, Georgia nursing jobs
- Setting: Major regional medical center with 30 Operating Rooms and Level II trauma services
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour day shifts (perioperative day shift)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Block schedule, no call, no weekends
- Employment Type: Travel — ideal for travel nurses, OR RNs, perioperative RNs
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (state of practice)
- Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience; perioperative/surgical nursing experience required
- Experience in Level II or Level I trauma OR required (trauma OR experience preferred)
- Proven ability to circulate across all service lines, including trauma cases
- CNOR certification preferred (perioperative certification)
- Epic documentation experience is a plus (electronic health record / EHR)
- Must provide own navy scrubs (home laundered)
Responsibilities — Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse
- Serve as a circulating nurse in a busy 30-OR suite, managing incoming trauma cases and diverse surgical specialties
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, care techs, and schedulers to ensure coordinated surgical care
- Maintain patient safety and positive outcomes throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
- Document perioperative care and patient records accurately using Epic or other EHR systems
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, sterile technique, and surgical dress code
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
