Job Details – Travel Nurse / Wound Care RN

• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Wound Care RN / Enterostomal Therapy
• Location: Silver Spring, MD 20910 (Washington, D.C. metro area)
• Unit: Enterostomal Therapy (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional weekends)
• Hours per Week: 40 (8-hour days)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 – $2,500

Wound Care RN Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state (Maryland nursing license acceptable)
• WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical wound care experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work occasional weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities – Wound Care / Enterostomal Therapy

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized wound care and ostomy management plans
• Provide evidence-based wound treatment, debridement knowledge, and ostomy care for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, nutrition, case management) to optimize healing and discharge planning
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers wound prevention, ostomy management, and home care techniques
• Document wound status, care plans, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education related to wound care, ostomy, and continence management
