Job Details — Travel Nursing / Med/Surg RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Altoona, PA (16601) — Blair County, Central Pennsylvania; RN jobs in Altoona, PA
• Unit: T11 Med Surg (hospital Med/Surg unit)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Assignment
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (Day shifts available)
• On-Site Position: In-person hospital role

Qualifications & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania — required for travel nursing in PA
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary care

Key Responsibilities — Med/Surg RN (Travel)

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg hospital unit following evidence-based protocols
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
