Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience; Ortho experience required; Trauma experience preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact RN license (eligible for Ohio)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Ability to complete facility onboarding, background check and compliance requirements
• Strong interpersonal, clinical judgment, and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Travel candidates only — local candidates not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications safely and accurately; monitor patients for clinical changes
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge needs, and post-acute care
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, infection control, and high-quality nursing care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Float to similar units as needed and assist with rehab patients awaiting bed placement
