Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710 - $1,800
• Location: Pontiac, Michigan (48342) — travel nurse job in Metro Detroit
• Setting: Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (ICU & Step-down)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift ICU RN
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (critical care nursing)
• Travel nursing experience preferred — experience as a travel nurse/ICU RN is a plus
• Active Michigan RN license (verification required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Skills checklist for RN specialties completed within one year of application
• CCRN or other critical care certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered critical care for adolescents through geriatrics in the ICU and Step-down Unit (SDU)
• Manage a wide variety of diagnoses including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases
• Perform assessments, medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care as required by unit standards
• Maintain the standards of professional nursing practice and documentation
• Supervise CNA/SNA, LPN, or other healthcare workers as assigned
• Float to the Step-down Unit (SDU) when needed to support patient care and staffing
