Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990
- Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Florida travel nursing job)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (variable start times between 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Call Required: Yes (participate in call rotation)
- Floating: Required; may float to sister campuses
- Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Department (adult & pediatric)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN (OR RN) experience; pediatric OR experience required
- Valid RN license for the state of Florida (or compact RN license as applicable)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- CNOR certification preferred (perioperative nurse credential)
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Degree accreditation must be documented, or at least 5 years of OR RN experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred (documentation and charting experience)
- Willingness to float to other units or sister campuses as needed
- Radius rule: Must live at least 50 miles from facility (per travel nurse requirement)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients
- Serve as scrub or circulating nurse across a variety of surgical specialties: ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
- Maintain sterile technique and perioperative safety standards as a surgical/operating room nurse
- Participate in call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs
- Float to other units or sister campuses as required by clinical need
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesia, perioperative techs) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document care accurately in Epic EMR and follow facility policies and perioperative protocols
- Embrace facility culture and function as core staff while on assignment
