• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890

• Setting: Telemetry Unit (Cardiac specialty) — Cardiac Telemetry Nurse role
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Unit Size: 24 beds

Job Requirements — Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN / cardiac telemetry experience
• Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) — compact license accepted
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Lifepak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring equipment
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR (required)
• Associate's degree in Nursing or higher (ADN or BSN preferred)
• Must be located at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC to qualify as a travel candidate

Responsibilities — Telemetry & Cardiac Nursing Duties

• Monitor and provide direct nursing care for generalized cardiac patients (young adults to elderly)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in a telemetry setting
• Manage patients with chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial); VATS care as needed
• Operate and interpret telemetry equipment and ensure accurate documentation in Cerner EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, RTs, PT/OT, case management) to coordinate patient care
• Float occasionally to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed to support patient flow
• Maintain a compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach in a family-oriented unit
