Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,590 – $1,680
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Location: On-site in Asheville, NC 28801 (Asheville healthcare, North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 26 weeks
• Number of Positions: 2 (Psychiatric RN, Behavioral Health Nurse, Mental Health RN)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (Travel nurses welcome)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience (Psychiatric RN experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary mental health team

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric and behavioral health care to adult and/or adolescent patients
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer psychotropic and other medications and monitor patient responses and side effects
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and nursing staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and community resources
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety and regulatory standards
