Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – 13-week travel nurse assignment at a nationally recognized hospital in Asheville, NC. Job Details – Travel Nurse L&D

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Nurse Assignment)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Location: A leading hospital in Asheville, NC (Asheville healthcare jobs, North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Number of Positions: 2 Travel L&D RNs

Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) experience
• Experience with high-risk L&D and maternal–fetal medicine preferred
• Strong immediate newborn care and neonatal assessment skills
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (travel nurse credentialing)
• Certifications required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation), BLS/ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
• Circulating RN experience preferred
• Outgoing, friendly, adaptable, and team-oriented personality

Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery Nurse

• Provide expert maternal and newborn nursing care in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients and perform immediate newborn stabilization and care
• Perform and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-section), D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst
• Monitor patients using Baxter infusion pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Document care in Cerner EMR and use Fetal ink systems for fetal monitoring records
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, physicians, MFMU, MOMB, and NICU staff
• Float to Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit (MFMU), Mother-Baby Unit (MOMB), and NICU as needed
• Maintain unit guidelines, safety standards, and dress code (scrubs provided)
