• Patient Ratios: 3:1
• Schedule Requirements: Rotating holidays and weekends required; no call required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current, strong LDRP RN acute care experience (Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Antepartum, Postpartum)
• Travel nursing experience required (travel nurse, travel RN)
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Antepartum and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Antepartum/postpartum cross-training expected; couplet care experience a plus
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Key Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery RN

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Antepartum, and Postpartum units
• Perform and interpret internal and external fetal monitoring (C-EFM) and respond to fetal heart rate abnormalities
• Support and educate new parents on discharge teaching, breastfeeding/lactation, newborn care, and metabolic screening
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, episiotomy/incisional care, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Perform newborn assessments, metabolic screening, and phototherapy when indicated
• Manage pain assessment and opioid administration according to hospital protocols
• Participate in couplet care, high-risk antepartum management, and mother/baby protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and hospital safety standards
