Travel Registered Nurse (Telemetry) – Night Shift in Tyler, TX. 13-week travel nurse contract on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with competitive weekly pay and a supportive interdisciplinary team in East Texas.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 – $1,630
• Location: Tyler, TX 75701 (East Texas)
• Unit: Med/Surg – 2 North (36 beds) — Med/Surg Telemetry
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) — Telemetry RN Night Shift
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Float Requirement: Yes, to units of equal acuity

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience (cardiac monitoring and med/surg telemetry)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (must meet state requirements)
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris

Responsibilities — Telemetry Nurse Duties

• Monitor and care for patients on the Telemetry unit, including cardiac and post-surgical cases
• Interpret and manage cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform wound care
• Provide tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis care
• Float to units of equal acuity as needed and collaborate across med/surg and specialty units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Adhere to isolation precautions, infection control, and PPE protocols
