• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (Competitive pay for travel nurse ICU)
• Location: Northampton, MA (01060) – Western Massachusetts / Hampshire County
• Setting: Critical Care Unit (ICU) – adult critical care, ICU RN, critical care nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (ICU travel nurse)
• Start Date: April 19, 2026
• End Date: June 13, 2026
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of ICU / critical care nursing experience required (ICU RN, critical care nurse)
• Strong technical skills: cardiac monitoring, ventilator care, IV/infusion pumps, medication titration
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for ICU patients consistent with clinical practice standards
• Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and infection prevention protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and support continuity of care
