Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1970 - $2080 (Travel Nurse pay)
• Location: Utica, NY (13502) — Upstate New York / Mohawk Valley
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:30am – 7:00pm)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site — Travel Nursing Job / Travel RN
• Unit: Medical/Surgical (6th Floor) — Med/Surg RN / Medical-Surgical RN role

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN (Medical-Surgical) experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required (Travel RN background preferred)
• Active RN license in New York (all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Completed Med/Surg skills checklist
• Experience with EPIC EMR / Epic clinical documentation
• Up-to-date resume documenting Med/Surg and travel assignments
• Valid driver's license with address matching demographics

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult post-surgical patients (abdominal procedures, cholelithiasis, bariatric care, orthopedics, fractures)
• Manage IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubes and other specialty Med/Surg equipment
• Perform thorough assessments, implement care plans, and support surgical recovery
• Document accurately and timely in EPIC EMR to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, physical therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Flex and float to other units as needed to meet unit staffing and patient care needs
• Adhere to unit policies and professional dress code (navy blue scrubs)
