- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 – $2,060
- Location: Savannah, GA 31405 (Savannah travel nurse job, Georgia nursing jobs)
- Setting: Acute Care – ER Holding Area (Stepdown) / PCU
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (travel nurse schedule)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Requirements: At least 6 weekend days/nights in a 6-week schedule
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Charting System: MEDITECH electronic medical record (EMR)
- Orientation: Department-specific orientation during the first week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent PCU experience OR 1 year PCU plus 1+ years Telemetry, ER, or ICU experience (telemetry nurse experience preferred)
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact state (Registered Nurse)
- ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Stepdown skillset required for ER Holding Unit (cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic assessment)
- References from recent assignments
- Compliance with 100-mile radius rule (copy of driver’s license required)
- Preferred: previous travel assignment or travel nurse experience
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ER Holding Area (Stepdown) and PCU, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, and critical care diagnoses
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on acuity, and escalate as needed
- Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitors; function as telemetry nurse when required
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, imaging, security, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Perform lab draws (no phlebotomy support in ER) and document results accurately in MEDITECH EMR
- Maintain accurate charting, comply with department protocols, and follow dress code and orientation guidelines
- Meet weekend and holiday scheduling needs as required by the department
