Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 - $2,210
• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (Utica • Mohawk Valley • Upstate NY)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am) — night shift ICU nurse
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Unit: ICU — 42 beds (Neuro/Med, CTICU, Surg/Trauma)
• Employment Type: Travel nurse / Travel RN

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU) — critical care RN experience required
• Active RN license in New York (all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required; Prismaflex/CRRT competency demonstrated
• Cardiac/heart experience highly preferred (CTICU, post-STEMI, CHF)
• EMR experience required: EPIC (Epic EMR experience preferred)
• Skills checklist matching specialty and up-to-date resume documenting travel experience
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a 42-bed ICU (critical care nurse duties)
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Artic Sun)
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, neuro intervention, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiovascular surgery, trauma, and major post-op care
• Float to all units as needed except Behavioral Health and ER (unless holding); flexible ICU nursing coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, PT/OT) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and adhere to hospital protocols and quality standards
