Med/Surg Tele RN (Travel Nurse) – Night Shift in Des Moines, IA. 13-week travel nursing assignment for a Registered Nurse with recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience, active RN license, and BLS. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
• Location: Des Moines, IA (50314)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night Shift Travel Nurse opportunity
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Start Date: April 5, 2026
• End Date: July 4, 2026
• Employment Type: Travel — Med-Surg RN / Telemetry Nurse role
• Work Sites: Main campus and West Lakes Campus (floating/resource pool)

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for Med/Surg/Telemetry practice
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Tele RN (Med-Surg RN / Telemetry Nurse) experience
• Ability and willingness to float to multiple med/surg floors and to the West Lakes Campus (float pool/resource pool)
• Completion of onboarding: background check, drug screen, health screenings, competency testing, and required documentation
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across multiple med/surg units including Ortho, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med-Surg Tele
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and timely assessment of patient conditions as a Telemetry Nurse
• Administer medications, manage clinical interventions, and document nursing care accurately
• Float as needed within the hospital and to the West Lakes Campus as part of the resource/float pool
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
