- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Location: Pikeville, KY (41501) — Eastern Kentucky travel nurse opportunity
- Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts per week (48 hours/week guaranteed)

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active RN license valid for practice in Kentucky (compact license accepted if valid in assignment state)
- Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience required; travel nursing experience required; 5 years Med/Surg experience preferred
- Proficiency in English (read, write, speak)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to young adult, adult, and elderly patients using the nursing process in an acute care medical-surgical setting
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and timely reassessments per policy
- Monitor cardiac status, manage telemetry, administer sedation and pain management therapies
- Care for chest tubes, manage pre/post cardiac catheterization care, and oversee TPN/PPN and transfusion therapy
- Access and manage central lines; administer specialized IV drips and titrate medications; perform IV therapy
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards
- Develop and update individualized care plans and provide patient and family education
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare staff; serve as a team leader and clinical role model
- Assist physicians with procedures and respond promptly to changes in patient acuity or unit workload
- Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain ongoing professional development
- Operate and maintain patient care equipment and support cost-containment initiatives
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety policies, and personnel guidelines
