Job Details – Travel OT / Hospital Occupational Therapist
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 – $1,700
- Location: Austin, TX 78705 (Austin OT jobs, Austin healthcare)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour days, Tuesday – Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Inpatient Rehab Hospital, Acute Care, Outpatient Therapy
- Unit Size: 64-bed inpatient rehab; 400-bed acute care hospital; full outpatient services
- Role: Travel OT / Hospital Occupational Therapist – neuro rehab, stroke rehab, SCI care
Qualifications – Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Texas required (Texas OT license)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hospital, acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings
- Neuro background required: experience with spinal cord injury (SCI), brain injury, and stroke rehabilitation
- Comfortable transitioning between multiple programs and settings in a single day
- Familiarity with IPR post-acute guidelines and CARE tool assessment preferred
- Strong time management, productivity focus, and organizational skills
- Team-oriented, friendly, and effective communicator with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities – OT Duties
- Provide direct patient care across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy settings
- Deliver neuro-focused interventions for patients with stroke, SCI, and brain injury (neuro rehab and stroke rehab)
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, case management) to develop comprehensive care plans
- Perform CARE tool assessments and follow post-acute IPR guidelines to support patient outcomes
- Adhere to schedules and productivity standards while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care
- Engage staff and patients to foster a collaborative, positive clinical environment
- Participate in weekend rotations as needed and adapt to variable caseloads across settings
