Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430 (competitive travel CT tech pay)
• Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 — Roanoke CT tech position in the Blue Ridge Mountains
• Setting: Acute care hospital, Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 4x10-hour shifts (Mon–Thu, 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: No call required
• Holiday Requirement: Available to work/take one holiday per contract (rotating with staff)
• Floating: May be required to float to Carilion Clinic Riverside (nearby clinic)
• Role Type: Travel CT Tech / Computed Tomography Technologist / Radiology Technologist

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent CT technologist experience in an acute care hospital
• Travel CT tech experience required
• Siemens CT scanner experience required (Siemens CT)
• Epic charting experience required (Epic)
• Valid ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications
• BLS certification required
• Virginia state license required, or any active state license in hand (Virginia offers emergency authorization for travelers)
• Ability to care for patient populations from neonates to geriatrics
• Experience preparing/administering IV contrast media and following radiation safety protocols
• Locals not accepted (must reside more than 100 miles from facility)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans across trauma, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations as a CT Technologist
• Prepare and administer contrast media according to protocol and safety guidelines
• Operate Siemens CT equipment and maintain image quality and radiation safety
• Document imaging exams and patient care in Epic accurately and timely
• Assist with advanced procedures including CT-guided biopsies and aspirations when required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (radiology, phlebotomy, lift teams) to ensure efficient patient flow
• Float to nearby clinic (Carilion Clinic Riverside) as needed
• Maintain high standards of patient care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma environment
