- Role: Registered Nurse (RN), Outpatient Urology Clinic (Travel Nurse)
- Setting: Outpatient Urology Clinic (Rutledge Tower Clinic) – teaching hospital, Magnet, Level I Trauma Center
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/25/2026 – End: 8/24/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour days (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm; 8-hour days)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-site: Yes
- Weekend / On-call: No weekend or on-call requirement
- Floating: May be required to float to similar clinics/units within scope
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred — urology/oncology nursing experience a plus
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) required
- Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
- Agency must provide radiation badge for traveler
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient nursing care in the urology clinic—patient assessment, education, triage, and follow-up
- Assist with specialized urology procedures including BCG administration (bladder cancer), voiding urodynamics (VUDS), cystoscopies, and prostate biopsies
- Collaborate with urologists, APPs, and multidisciplinary clinic staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document accurately and efficiently using Epic for charting, orders, and communication
- Support clinic flow, rooming patients, and pre/post-procedure care per facility protocols
- Float to similar outpatient areas as needed to meet clinic needs while maintaining scope of practice
- Participate in ongoing education, maintain compliance with safety and radiation protocols, and promote a patient-centered, compassionate care environment
