• Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN), Travel Nurse, Night Shift
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 — Fort Wayne healthcare jobs, Indiana nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm–7am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Start Date: April 20, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg experience (Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary Med/Surg)
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg experience at a large hospital (600+ beds)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred (Electronic Health Record / Epic)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population as a Med/Surg RN
• Perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize clinical equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Manage IV therapy, heparin and insulin drips, and feeding tubes safely and according to policy
• Float to other medical units as needed based on facility requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Complete Jump Start orientation, including hospital and nursing-specific training
