• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 - $2,670
• Location: San Marcos, TX 78666 (San Marcos healthcare jobs / travel cath lab jobs)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: 16–18 days, including 3 weekends out of a 6-week schedule (holidays required)
• Employment Type: Travel, Full Time (travel cath lab technologist / cardiovascular technologist)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or EP Lab environments (interventional cardiology, angiography, PCI experience preferred)
• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or related healthcare field preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for independent work at pediatric facilities
• One of the following certifications required (industry credentials accepted):
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by CCI
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) by CCI
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI
  • Radiography (R), Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT
  • Abdomen (AB) RDMS, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cath lab, equipment, and supplies for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (cardiac catheterization, angiography, PCI, EP cases)
• Ensure accurate patient documentation, maintain sterile technique, and follow aseptic protocols throughout procedures
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for junior technicians and technologists to support clinical training and departmental growth
• Participate in daily room checks, supply stocking, and patient schedule review to support efficient cath lab operations
• Set up and operate cath lab equipment including imaging systems, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitoring systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and related devices
• Support physicians during procedures—ensuring patient safety, proper positioning, and timely equipment operation
• Adhere to organizational policies related to patient safety, privacy (HIPAA), infection control, and radiation safety
• Act as radiation safety representative for patients and team and follow ALARA principles
• Engage in patient transport, access site management, and post-procedure care as needed
• Promote teamwork, departmental efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab
