- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180 - $2,290
- Location: Hartford, CT 06105 (Hartford County) — Hartford healthcare & Connecticut nursing job)
- Setting: Emergency Department / Trauma Center (Level 1 or Level 2)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend required
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse (travel nursing job, ER nurse opportunity)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut (CT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS required
- Comfortable working night shifts and every other weekend; strong clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
- Experience with triage, rapid assessment, emergency interventions, and trauma protocols preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department as an ER/ED nurse
- Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions
- Provide trauma nursing care and rapid interventions for critically ill or injured patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow hospital protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team in high-stress situations
