Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC Night Shift travel nursing job in Madison, WI. 13-week contract, BLS & ACLS required, 3x12-hour night shifts. Join our long-term acute care (LTAC) team and support patient recovery and rehabilitation in Madison, Wisconsin.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Location: Madison, WI 53715 (Madison, Wisconsin — local travel nursing opportunity)
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) — LTAC RN / Rehabilitation Nursing
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night Shift (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 36

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of Wisconsin license preferred)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years strongly preferred)
- Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, or similar acute/rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care planning skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission (LTAC nursing assessments)
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching beginning at admission to support successful transitions of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to providers to ensure continuity and patient safety
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety procedures
- Contribute positively to unit teamwork and participate in team-building activities
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested (charge nurse / shift leader duties)
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC and critical care nursing
