Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience at a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Active RN license in the state of Connecticut (CT RN license) or ability to obtain
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC and ENPC or PALS certifications required
- Ability to work every other weekend (typical Emergency Department schedule)
- Compliance with onboarding health and professional requirements (including immunizations and competency testing)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a busy Emergency Department as an ER RN / Emergency Department RN
- Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with medical emergencies, trauma, and critical conditions
- Perform rapid clinical assessments, stabilize patients, and initiate emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using electronic medical records
- Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and supportive environment for patients and staff
- Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and trauma-related protocols
