Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 - $2,090
- Location: Liberty, MO 64068 (near Kansas City)
- Role: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
- Unit: 20-bed Cardiac Observation (Telemetry)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Yes
- Start Dates: 4/27/2026 or 5/11/2026
- Orientation: Comprehensive 5-day orientation including clinical and computer training
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN or cardiac telemetry experience
- Active RN license (state-appropriate licensure required)
- BLS & ACLS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, ECG interpretation, and telemetry systems preferred
- Ability to float to equal or lesser acuity units as needed
- Nicotine-free facility compliance
- Experience with Altera Sunrise EMR (training provided; similar to Cerner)
- New graduates not accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in a 20-bed cardiac observation unit, including continuous telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation
- Provide high-quality nursing care, cardiac patient education, and discharge planning as appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, events, and care plans accurately in the EMR
- Participate in unit orientation, ongoing training, and quality improvement activities
- Float to other units as required, demonstrating flexibility in acute care settings
- Adhere to facility policies, including weekend and holiday coverage
