Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800–$1890
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 — Asheville nursing jobs, North Carolina travel nurse roles
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) — Night shift Trauma RN / Med-Surg RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 4 West Adult Med Surg (34 beds) — Med-Surg / Trauma unit
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period

Trauma RN Requirements

• Active RN license (state of practice required)
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of recent Med Surg or Trauma RN experience (experience as a Trauma Nurse or Med-Surg RN preferred)
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills (Telemetry RN experience)
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
• Punctual, team-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced trauma/med-surg environments
• Preferred: ACLS certification

Trauma RN Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor med-surg level and trauma patients; escalate changes in acuity to Charge RN/Manager/Rapid Response/Provider
• Provide direct patient care including administering IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds, and PEG feedings
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including CNAs, other nurses, and providers to deliver high-quality trauma care
• Document patient care and clinical assessments using Cerner EMR (electronic medical record)
• Float to other med-surg units or ED holding pod as needed to support patient flow and trauma surge events
• Participate in shift huddles and follow facility policies, unit guidelines, and trauma protocols
• Maintain a professional, positive, and team-focused attitude while delivering patient-centered care
