- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Float Pool Facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, Northwest Sahuarita
- EMR: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Any color
Key Qualifications (Med/Surg Tele RN)
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience or acute care nursing experience
- Active Arizona RN license (compact not accepted unless AZ licensure requirements met)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient with Cerner EMR and telemetry monitoring systems
- Ability and willingness to float between departments and facilities as part of a float pool
- Strong critical thinking, EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and acute care assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process in accordance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Provide telemetry monitoring, cardiac assessment, EKG interpretation, medication administration, and IV therapy for diverse patient populations
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership for timely, evidence-based patient care
- Delegate and prioritize patient care based on staff education and experience; supervise assigned personnel
- Maintain and update clinical competencies through continuing education and unit-specific training
- Adapt to floating between units and facilities within the float pool while maintaining consistent, high-quality care
