Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse): $1,680 – $1,770
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Float Pool: Must be willing to float between departments and facilities (float pool travel nurse)
- EMR / Documentation: Cerner experience preferred (Cerner EMR)
- Scrub Color: Any color
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN) experience — strong telemetry/monitoring skills
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications
- Experience using Cerner electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ability and willingness to float between multiple departments and facilities as part of a float pool
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, assess patients, and intervene appropriately (telemetry nurse duties)
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership when planning and delivering safe care
- Maintain and build clinical competencies through continuing education and training
- Coordinate and delegate patient care priorities based on staff skills and patient acuity
- Direct and supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care across departments and facilities
- Adapt to floating between med/surg, telemetry, and other inpatient units as required
