• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 - $2,480
• Location: Des Moines, IA (50309) — MRI technologist jobs in Des Moines / Iowa MRI jobs
• Position: Travel MRI Technologist – Hospital MRI Unit (may float across campuses)
• Setting: Level I trauma center; ED, inpatient, and outpatient MRI
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: One weeknight & one weekend (Fri/Sat) every 10th weekend
• Scrubs: Charcoal Gray

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of current MRI technologist experience in clinical MRI / magnetic resonance imaging
• Strong proficiency with Siemens and GE MRI equipment and MRI protocols
• ARRT (R)(MR) or ARMRIT certification (required)
• EPIC or EPIC Radiant experience (required) — experience with EPIC EMR preferred for MRI workflow
• Level I trauma experience (highly preferred) — experience in emergency and trauma imaging a plus
• Previous travel MRI technologist assignments (preferred)
• Completion of MRI skills checklist specific to Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Professional reference from a supervisor/manager within the past 24 months (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for emergency department (ED), inpatient, and outpatient populations with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Operate Siemens and GE MRI systems, including scheduled contrast-enhanced exams and power injection protocols
• Float across multiple campuses as needed to support hospital radiology operations
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging data using EPIC EMR / EPIC Radiant
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled and respond to urgent imaging needs in a Level I trauma environment
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and MRI screening procedures to ensure compliance and patient safety
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to support high-acuity trauma and inpatient care
