• Shift: Rotating Day/Night 3x12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm / 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36

Key Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• 18 months permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State license in hand
• Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in specialty
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Monitor, interpret, and document ECG rhythms; respond to telemetry alarms and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and efficiently, following hospital and travel nurse protocols
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and develop/implement individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nursing leadership, therapists) to coordinate care
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record
• Float as needed across units to meet operational needs and support clinical staffing
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education modules
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
