Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400 – $2,580
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks)
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:30 – 19:00), 3 or 4 shifts per week
- Weekend Coverage: 2–3 weekends per contract
- On-Call: Required, rotating with staff and agency (dedicated call team)
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Cardiac Cath Lab (Level I Trauma Center)
- Start Date: April 27, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience (diagnostic and interventional cases)
- Illinois Radiology License required and must be in hand at submission
- Required certifications: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), RCIS (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), ACLS, BLS (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting system is required
- Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract
- Strong infection control skills: isolation precautions, sterile technique
- Competency with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Must be able to complete compliance modules and orientation requirements
- Previous travel radiology or cath lab travel assignments preferred but not required
- Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required for all travelers
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures for adult patients, including diagnostic catheterizations, left/right heart caths, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and device closures
- Assist with advanced procedures such as IABP placement/removal and rotational atherectomy (rotablator) as appropriate to scope
- Serve as scrub tech for interventional cardiac cases and maintain sterile field
- Set up and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and imaging systems (CT/Rad Tech responsibilities in hybrid labs)
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias; interpret dysrhythmias and provide age-specific care for middle-aged and older adult populations
- Adhere to infection control protocols, isolation precautions, and sterile technique consistently
- Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care
