Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700
- Location: Lafayette, Indiana (zip 47905) — Lafayette, IN travel surgical tech job
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), 4 shifts per week (Monday–Friday, rotating day off)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: Weekday and weekend call rotation
- Setting: Hospital Operating Room (OR) — 10 operating rooms, multiple specialties
- EMR: EPIC
Qualifications (Surgical Technologist Requirements)
- Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in an Operating Room setting
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential — NBSTSA certification required
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Experience across specialties including general, orthopedic, spine, neuro, GYN, ENT, robotics, urology, podiatry, vascular, and open heart cases preferred
- Robotics training and vascular/open heart experience highly desirable
- Strong communication, positive attitude, self-starter, ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures across a variety of specialties as an OR Surgical Tech
- Prepare, set up, and maintain operating room equipment, instruments, and sterile fields
- Ensure patient safety, sterile technique, and instrument accountability throughout procedures
- Support robotics cases and specialty procedures when trained and assigned
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations as scheduled
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, high-quality perioperative care
- Adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment and contribute to a positive team culture
