Travel RN Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse / Travel RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Savannah, GA (zip 31419). This opportunity is for a PCU RN to work in the ER Holding Unit (Stepdown) at a busy Level 3 Trauma Center. Ideal candidates will have telemetry experience, MEDITECH charting skills, and strong stepdown/critical care nursing background.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Based on department needs
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Charting System: MEDITECH (telemetry documentation)
- Trauma Level: Level 3 Trauma Center
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent PCU experience OR 1 year PCU experience plus 1+ years of TELE/ER/ICU experience
- Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment (travel nurse experience preferred)
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact state) — compact RN licensure accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- References from recent assignments
- Compliance with 100-mile radius rule (copy of driver's license required for submission)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU ER Holding Unit (Stepdown)
- Manage patient ratios of approximately 1:4–5, adjusted for acuity
- Care for patients with cardiac, neuro, ortho, and critical care diagnoses
- Monitor and save telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitors (telemetry experience required)
- Draw labs as needed (no ER phlebotomy responsibility)
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, imaging, and transport technicians
- Complete department-specific orientation during the first week of assignment
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MEDITECH and adhere to unit protocols
