Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 – $1,840
• Location: Lubbock, TX 79410 — Telemetry travel nursing job in West Texas
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week — Telemetry RN night shift
• Expected Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Floating: May float between units and sister facilities as needed
• Free Parking: Available in unrestricted employee/visitor lots

Telemetry RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience or telemetry travel nurse experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record/charting system
• Preferred: Level II Trauma Center experience
• Ability to provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must be willing to float as needed and work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Solid navy blue scrubs required

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, telemetry strips, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration required)
• Perform assessments, develop evidence-based care plans, and document in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Care for patients with CHF, AMS, NSTEMI, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and post-cardiac procedures
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and telemetry unit protocols
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Float to other units or facilities as required during your travel nurse assignment
